Welsh Americans, The Manuscript Collection, Volume One

The Madog Center for Welsh Studies at the University of Rio Grande has a limited number of Dr. Marcella Biro-Barton's book, Welsh Americans, The Manuscripts , Volume One, available for sale. Cost for the book is regularly $85.00, but we are offering it at a discounted rate (15%) of $72.25 (plus shipping and handling). Interested persons should contact the Madog Center.

Dr. Barton has compiled an extensive bibliography of Welsh names covering the colonial period through the 20th century, citing correspondence and other documents on religion, government, military matters, business, law, and medicine. These citations bring to life the social fabric of the Welsh in the British settlement of Pennsylvania, in particular around the city of Philadelphia. Barton's work is excellent for those interested in genealogy or in the history of the region.
