Application packets available in the Madog Center office Deadline for fall 2008 is April 1, 2009
The Welsh Exchange Program through the Madog Center at the University of Rio Grande enables students to expand their educational and life experiences by spending a semester abroad.
Each fall term URG sends six students to Trinity College in Carmarthen, Wales to study and spring semester Trinity sends their students to URG. This is a great value for today’s educational dollar as students pay tuition and room & board fees at their home institution, so all scholarships and financial aid applies.
The program, set up in 2002 after Mark Abell visited Trinity and saw the opportunity to develop close ties with our sister institution, has grown steadily over the years. Trinity now sends a group of 12 Performing Arts students who work on a special theater production while on our campus.
Students interested in obtaining more information about the program should contact the Madog Center for Welsh Studies at (800) 28207201 ext 7186 or email at welsh@rio.edu. We are located on the second floor of the Elizabeth Davis House on the edge of campus.
