Staff Biographies

Director of the Madog Center

 

Jeanne Jones Jindra

 

 

Jeanne was named as Assistant Director of the Madog Center in December, 2006 and Director in April 2007. She grew up in nearby Jackson has been immersed in appreciation for her Welsh heritage from an early age. She has been involved in activities of the Madog Center and local Welsh Club for many years. Jeanne has been employed by the University of Rio Grande in other positions since 1999. She earned her BS in Ed. at Ohio University in 1973 and taught school in Jackson City Schools as well as in Columbus Public Schools for over 20 years. She received her MEd. from the University of Rio Grande in 2003.

 

She is responsible for the daily operation of the Center, the Student Exchange Program, and assisting with outreach with local area schools and organizations. She will work to promote the mission and activities of the Madog Center. Family history and genealogical research are areas of interest to her. She and her husband Louis, reside in southern Gallia County.

Agnes Hapka

Secretary

 

Agnes came to work for the Madog Center as a part-time secretary in February 2008. She is involved in assisting with daily operations, running the office and managing the creative tasks needed for promotional purposes. Agnes is also a real estate agent in Gallia county and has taught art classes at The French Art Colony. Past employment has included working as a reporter and news clerk at the Gallipolis Daily Tribune. She lives in Gallipolis with her three daughters.
